From the moment of arrival, the experience feels carefully choreographed. Luggage is whisked away, check-in is handled discreetly in the background, and guests are invited to settle into the outdoor seating area with a complimentary glass of cava and small snacks. It is an elegant, effortless welcome and one that immediately sets the tone for the rest of the stay. In our case, the occasion was made even more memorable by a surprise birthday cake and a cheerful rendition of happy birthday from one of the waitresses, a thoughtful touch that captured the hotel’s genuine warmth.
Our superior double room was spacious, immaculate and beautifully appointed, with a wonderfully comfortable super king-size bed and a generous balcony overlooking the beach and sea. Inside, the room balanced comfort with sophistication, from the fresh fruit and daily bottled water to the coffee machine, Chromecast-enabled television and well-stocked minibar. The bathroom, complete with a large walk-in shower, deep bathtub, double sinks and Clarins toiletries, added another layer of indulgence.
Dining was equally impressive. Dinner in the hotel restaurant, accompanied by live piano music, felt suitably special, with attentive service, an intimate atmosphere and beautifully presented dishes. The glazed Iberian pork shoulder was particularly memorable, and the overall experience was one of understated elegance rather than formality.
The hotel’s location only adds to its appeal. Step out onto the promenade and within minutes you can reach a variety of relaxed beach bars and restaurants, while a slightly longer walk brings you to Benalmádena marina, with its lively mix of waterfront dining, shops and cocktail spots. Yet despite having so much close at hand, the hotel itself remains wonderfully calm, a true retreat from the busier rhythm beyond its doors.
Breakfast, served until 11am, is another pleasure, whether taken indoors or outside overlooking the sea, while the spa provides a peaceful sanctuary on quieter days, with its hydrotherapy-style pool, sauna and steam room. There are also two outdoor pools and a beach-facing jacuzzi, all of which add to the hotel’s quietly exclusive feel.
